European Maritime Finance reshuffles top team

EMF Danish maritime investment manager European Maritime Finance has named Peter Kubicki as chief executive officer in a wider reshuffle of its leadership team. The Copenhagen-based company has also appointed Stephen Schueler as chairman of the board, Rikke Stoltz as board member and co-founder Martin Almdal as vice chairman. Kubicki, who was already involved with EMF, brings a background in banking, financial services and regulated investment management. Schueler (pictured) has more than 30 years of senior leadership experience, including roles at Maersk, where he served as chief commercial officer, member of the executive board and chief executive officer of Safmarine. Stoltz spent 13 years with Maersk and was an early investor in offshore wind vessel owner Cadeler. Almdal co-founded EMF and has been involved in building the company’s investment platform and investor relationships. The appointments follow a period of growth for EMF, which said it currently advises and manages about $2.1bn of maritime assets and commitments. The company said the changes are part of a broader strengthening of its governance, compliance and risk management framework. Splash reported last year that EMF had appointed Torben Degn as chief executive officer. The latest release by the manager focused on investments across tanker, car carrier and ammonia/LPG vessel segments, did not provide details regarding Degn’s departure.
