Nortrans Singapore-based Nortrans Offshore has secured a two-year charter with SBM Offshore for its semi-submersible flotel Nor Spirit in Angola. The 2015-built DP3 maintenance and safety unit will support life-extension work on the FPSOs Saxi Batuque and Mondo on Block 15. The units are operated by SBM Offshore under a lease and operate contract with Esso Exploration Angola, an affiliate of ExxonMobil and operator of Block 15. SBM Offshore last December secured an extension covering the two FPSOs through 2032. The agreement includes life-extension work, including equipment replacement and refurbishment, with the scope expected to start in 2026. Nor Spirit will provide offshore accommodation and support services during the campaign. Block 15 is one of ExxonMobil’s key deepwater areas offshore Angola. The block has been producing since 2003 and includes the Kizomba C-Mondo and Kizomba C-Saxi/Batuque developments, which started up in 2008.
