Eidesvik lands long-term Aker BP PSV deal

Eidesvik Offshore Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore has signed a new platform supply vessel frame agreement with Aker BP and secured fresh long-term work for the Viking Prince . The new frame agreement runs for four years and includes options for two further two-year extensions. The deal continues the partnership between Eidesvik and Aker BP, first established under a PSV frame agreement in 2019. Under the latest agreement, Aker BP has awarded the 2012-built PSV Viking Prince a three-year firm contract, with further extension options attached. The contract will start in direct continuation of the vessel’s current employment with Aker BP. No financial details were disclosed. “We are very pleased to continue our close collaboration with Aker BP,” said Helga Cotgrove, chief executive officer of Eidesvik. Cotgrove said the new frame agreement builds on several years of safe and consistent operations from the company’s crew and vessels. The Viking Prince has been working for Aker BP through a series of contracts and extensions. Splash reported in February that Aker BP had extended the firm period for the LNG-fuelled battery hybrid PSV to the end of April.
