Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Greek owner Enesel Group has expanded its return to dry bulk with eight newbuildings now listed across two Chinese yards. The Lemos family-controlled company, led by Andonis and Filippos Lemos, lists four 63,500 dwt ultramaxes at Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry, alongside four 181,500 dwt capesize newbuildings at Hengli Shipbuilding in Dalian. All eight vessels are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028. The update marks a further step in Enesel’s return to dry bulk after the company exited the segment last year through the sale of three capesizes to Hayfin Capital. Splash reported in April that Enesel had moved back into dry bulk with two 181,500 dwt capesize newbuildings at Hengli. The company’s fleet list now shows four capesize hulls at the yard. No price has been given for the ultramax series at Hantong, but the most recent quotes stand at about $35m per newbuild. Enesel’s existing fleet includes tankers and containerships, including VLCCs, suezmaxes, aframax/LR2s and large container vessels from 10,600 teu to 15,440 teu.
