CPKC sets new June grain records in Canada, US
CPKC has broken its June record for transporting Canadian grain and grain products across its network, moving 2.8 million metric tons (MMT) of grain from western Canada last month, CPKC officials said in a press release. The record surpasses the previous record, set in June 2020.
The company has now set monthly records in five of the first six months of 2026. The railroad also logged record tonnage and carloads in the second quarter. Through week 48 of the 2025-2026 crop year, CPKC has transported more than 28.4 MMT of Canadian grain and grain products. CPKC also set a monthly record for June grain movements in the United States, moving 2.5 MMT and exceeding the previous best set in 2022. CPKC hauled a record 7.5 MMT in the United States during Q2 2026.
